Video Articles

Video Articles are peer-reviewed submissions in which a narrated, high-definition video serves as the primary evidence, visually documenting each step of a pediatric interventional pulmonology procedure in real time. The accompanying short manuscript supplies clinical context, key equipment details, outcomes, and references, while still images provide a thumbnail and figure support. The format’s purpose is to accelerate procedural learning, enhance reproducibility, and integrate multimedia permanently into the scholarly record through DOI assignment and long-term archiving.
PIPJ also welcomes unique video case reports.

Video Articles may cover:

- Endoscopic procedures, including troubleshooting of complications.
- Remarkable pediatric cases illustrating novel technique or decision‑making.
- New or modified devices and technology.
- Creative uses of standard equipment.
- Practical "tips and tricks" for success.
- Video case reports that highlight rare pathology, unexpected findings, or innovative management decisions.

Avoid overtly promotional language or endorsements; focus on the technical “how‑to.”

Videos must be completely free of HIPAA identifiers—names, initials, dates, medical‑record numbers, procedure dates, monitor overlays, etc. Black them out or configure your recording system to generate a clean feed. Wide shots that could reveal patient or staff faces are not permitted.

Include Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval or exemption documentation and written consent from guardians for any recognisable pediatric subject.

Each Video Article is accompanied with a manuscript containing still images.
Provide a Thumbnail Figure as a captivating high‑resolution still image that will serve as the website thumbnail.
